Welcome to the Official Website of Warhawk Wrestling! The 2008-2009 team is primed and ready for the preseason training to start. Working off the leadership of returning state Champions Anthony Fretwell and Evan Warrington and the drive of placers Kavon Saddler and Jordan Turpin the Warhawks are looking to capture another state title and flow into the successful tradition head coach Marty Hutsell has grown accustomed to. So its been 202 days since the last time I wrote anything about the Warhawks. When I did I was basking in the season's success and posting results from the state tournament. As usual a ton has happened in the wrestling world since February 29th and another season creeps up upon us. With rumors swirling around that this might be Marty Hutsell's swan song of one of THE best coaching careers in Georgia going out on top is a must. With a guy that has more state championship rings he can put on one hand, enough awards to fill up a U-Haul and a recent induction into the Hall Of Fame, I'd say knocking off the dynasty that is the Jefferson Dragons would be a story book ending to an illustrious career. "We'll have 112 days to turn these guys into Dragon Slayers." said Hutsell. Not counting out a strong Lovett team and improving Sanoraville the state title is not a garanteed 2 way battle, all 4 teams are in the running to be crowned the 2008/09 Dual and Traditional Champs.

Known for slow starts and strong finishes the 6 time State Champion coach isn't changing a thing for this season. For me personally this will be my final year with the Warhawks coaching, my time will be up when this graduating class steps off the mat for the last time but I can't wait for this roller coaster ride that will go by WAY to fast to start. Make sure your tray tables are in the upright position and your seatbelt is fastened. I have a feeling we are in for a great season.
